Don’t have a dog in this. Seems a little unreasonable that waverly is in this conference. Why are they not in one with CR or Waterloo schools.

Some of the schools in NEIC are tough, regardless of class. I gathered up some information on W-SR's schedule this season. In individual tournaments I only listed ranked teams present and in dual tournaments I only listed ranked teams that we wrestled.
West Delaware 2a #2 Keith Young (individual) Don Bosco 1a #1, #47 nationally Denver 1a #2 Norwalk 3a #8 WDM Valley 3a #3 Charles City Title Town Duals Kaukauna, WI d1 #5 Staley, MO c1 #7 (#40something nationally at the time) Decorah, Oelwein Battle of Waterloo (duals) Western Dubuque 3a #7 Don Bosco 1a #1, #47 nationally West Delaware 2a #2 WDM Valley 3a #3 Crestwood, New Hampton The Clash (duals) STMA, MN AAA #4 Perham, MN AA #3 Oak Park River Forest, IL 3a #2, #20 nationally Shakopee, MN AAA #1, #42 nationally Bettendorf Shootout (individual) Liberty, MO c4 #1, #13 nationally Waukee 3a #5 Assumption 2a #9 Charles City, Waukon Osage Rick Caldwell Invite NEIC Next: Scott West, MN AA #5
Charles City leads the NEIC conference in championships, followed by Crestwood then W-SR.
W-SR has 548 enrollment used by IHSAA to determine classification. That's probably like 75 away from being 2a and around 100-250 more than the other schools in our conference. Just for comparison, SEP has 1581 and WDM Valley has 2202. That's 1000 and 1700 more than W-SR, respectively. The top 31 schools in 3a have over 1000 and the top 7 have over 1500.
I'd say the schedule is well balanced, though I'm just a fan and not an expert!
