Is it too much to ask, since it was almost $50 to register, $20 for spectators to get in, that the wrestlers have clean mats to wrestle on? We have always had a positive experience at Corn Cob, but this year 3 out of the 4 wrestlers that we took to the tournament got their knees scraped up-it looked like they had wrestled on concrete. All 3 were experienced high school wrestlers and complained that the mats were dirty. Not sure we want to go back to another Corn Cob or any of your other tournaments if this is a representation of what they are going to be like!

The issue I have is the time at the end of the tournament between matches. It’s hard to get the best out of a wrestler when they wrestle a match then they are on deck after a 3 min match in between. I realize that the tournament need to keep the tournament moving, but I’d like to see kids get a reasonable amount of time to recover.
I saw a Lenny one of the officials Brian hires to get all officials trying to clean a few mats from time to time. I understand it's tough to keep those clean all day and kids coming on mat with dirty shoes from walking around etc....Gotta remember 1500-2000 wrestlers times all them matches they have! can't stop every round and clean and wait to dry etc....I will say one thing whether you like it or not Brian Keck has a "GOLD MINE TOURN" ! The guy is making BANK. It is well organized for the most part for a tourn of that magnitude. As for rest time I am not upset and feel high School needs to eliminate the 45 min rule! I'm not saying high school has NO time limit for rest but 30 min is enough recovery time at that age when they are in shape. Keeps things running better for sure. I wish I could be partners with Brian! WHO wouldn't wanna rake in that kind of $$$$?
