This question is for both the mods and active posters: I noticed yesterday that someone was posting bracket layouts for some lighter weight State Brackets... I’m not sure if they were accurate or they were just that posters opinion of how they would be laid out. I noticed that the entire “AAU Bracket” Thread was removed? Then later in the day this same poster was posting the same brackets but this time in an individual layout. Then not long after, all those post were deleted. Does anyone know what the violation was? I’m not trolling! This is an honest question! I have no idea why the AAU Bracket thread was completely deleted? My only thoughts are this: I have noticed in the past that other AAU threads or discussions have been deleted. Does someone involved with AAU have interest in the predicament and doesn’t want anything AAU discussed unless it comes from an AAU official? Thanks in advance! I’m really lost on this one.....
The owners of this website can do whatever they want- it's their business. The info wasn't supposed to be released publicly (and it may or may not be have been accurate). I'm guessing someone from AA saw the threads and then reached out to the Admins of The Predicament and asked if they would delete them- which it looks like they did. To my knowledge, the folks at The Predicament support all unions (AAU, USA, IHSAA, etc.) and all schools and they are here to promote the sport. If something gets posted that they deem inappropriate or that they wish not to be visible on their website, it's their right to remove it. They have been pretty consistent in doing this sort of thing over the years.

They could seed it and it would be great. I attend a lot and I mean A-LOT of tournaments that have been seeded. Working them I see the seeding and the final results and of course dark horses and unexpected kids perform lights out. I would say in my humble opinion that the seeding if very good and is best for those kids that would place 5-8th place. Without seeding sometimes those kids are knocked out by the top kids bumping into each other. On the other hand if your kid is a 9-12th place kid they will have an opportunity to place if they get a lucky draw and don't have to earn it.

Does anyone know for AAU State brackets do they use track wrestling ranking/star value at all for building brackets or is it all based on pairing districts up and having the 1 seed wrestle the opposing district 4 seed and 2 seed vs 3 seed? Thanks

The way it was explained to me is that there are a set number of different combinations for pairings between the districts. Track is not factored in. First round will be a #1 from one district against #4 from another district, and#2 vs #3. So two number ones will not meet until quarter Finals. And the District formula is different for each weight. So at A50 district 1 and district 7 might meet first round but at A54 district 1 might meet district 2.
