Tell you what, I'll start the process rolling by throwing out a specific Sectional. That way other Illuminati on this forum can pipe up with other Sectionals. Before too long, all the Sectional projections will be listed.
With that said, would any North Central Iowa wrestling Gurus care to predict who will advance out of the 1A Sectional 8, held in the Center Of The Wrestling Universe, Britt, Iowa?
Geographically speaking, how in the world did Clayton Ridge get put into the Jesup district? Especially with Denver being so close? I get you want to break up two of the top 3 teams in the state but even MFL is closer than Clayton Ridge. The Jesup district is unbelievably weak and I’d be surprised if Don Bosco doesn’t send 12-14 guys to state.
I wouldn't say the Jesup district is unbelievably weak. If you look at the districts where the top three teams are, at Jesup, besides Don Bosco there are 11 ranked guys, at Denver, besides Denver there are 11 ranked guys and at Montezuma, besides Lisbon there are 10 ranked guys.

I'm sure they don't want Don Bosco and Denver in the same Sectional or District. They could have sent Wapsie Valley to Jesup and Clayton Ridge to MFL. That would make more sense. But Common sense isn't very common anymore.

Sectional is at West Branch.....145 is going to be an interesting district. Cael Baker (Pekin) has beat Brady Hahn (Highland), who is a returning qualifier. Cade Chance (Cardinal) is tough also. Think he has beat Baker twice. Add in Cory Anderson (Wilton), a returning place winner and this could be a tough district. Heard Anderson was on the ropes in and out of the room. Anyways, been doing some digging and it seems that Moore and Meeker from Wapello both wrestled 126 at the BGM tournament. One must be going down? Results show Moore was at 138 and Meeker at 132 to start the season. Could meeker make 120 again? Either way their lineup looks pretty tough from 106-132. Aney from Mediapolis started the season ranked at 106. Will he go down? Up? 106 is pretty deep. 113 has a returning qualifier and place winner. Saw Lalonde went down to 152. 152 should be tough with former qualifier Stewart from Highland. Lots of movement in this district. I'm getting excited for the post season.

Here is a stab at Sectional #4 @ Liberty Center (Southeast Warren) 11 ranked. I am listing a maximum of 3 in no particular order. Kids could be moving around by Sectional time.
106 Eli Smith I-35 Webb Mount Ayr Patterson Central Decatur 113 Ruben Smith I-35 Shaha Mount Ayr Wimber East Union 120 Baker I-35 Jimenez SEW Cobb Wayne 126 Ehlen Mount Ayr Jones Central Decatur Woosley I-35 132 Van Dyne Wayne Gregg Mount Ayr Palmer I-35 138 Hayes East Union Walker Central Decatur 145 Bauer SEW Could be some guys moving to this weight. 152 Elliott I-35 Reed Central Decatur Rowe SEW 160 Ventriecher Bedford Woosley I-35 Cobb Wayne 170 Chumbley SEW Kirkpatrick I-35 182 Page SEW Brager I-35 Carson Central Decatur 195 Vandelune SEW Could be some guys moving to this weight. 220 Hommer SEW Stough Bedford Thompson I-35 285 Cox Mount Ayr Snell I-35 Whipple Bedford
Looks like I-35 should be favored to win sectionals....2nd place up for grabs.
At 120 I dont think Kremer from EB is wrestling anymore so you might want to check that one. But I do think you should add Recker from EB at 220 as #2. 152 and 160 seemed to be the weakest weights in this sectional other than Henderson who is a stud. One thing for sure Bosco on the other side will force allot of these guys to the runner up spot as they are loaded. Be interesting to see where the Beckman kids fall as they wrestle in the always tough Wamac conference so they see great matches all year so their records may not be as good as some others.
